So, what’s my feeling about writing?

I think that it’s a wonderful form of self expression. I think that some people are good at it, while others are not. I’d like to think that I’m one of the people who is good at it.

Of course, I realize I’m not anything divine. I’m not some kind of earthly muse, descended from Mount Olympus to bless the mortals with gifts of poetry and prose. No. Still, I think I’m fairly decent, and I like doing it, and I’ll keep doing it, and maybe even say something important or make some kind of impression on somebody while I’m at it.

But ultimately, I write for me. I write because it makes me feel good, and that’s the reason I’m going to keep at it. If it ever stops making me feel good, I’ll stop. Because what’s the point of doing something you don’t enjoy?
